Robustness and durability were at the centre of the development of our new TM20 bat microphones. This was the only way to create microphones that work reliably and require little maintenance, even in challenging offshore applications.
An efficient protection of the microphone capsule is essential to increase the life time of microphones. This is achieved with our new water-repellent and at the same time acoustically transparent microphone capsule protection of the Plus models. In addition, the housing of all TM20 models is made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel and, like the XLR connectors, fulfils IP65. An option for seawater-resistant connection cables is of course only logical here.
The TM20 microphones are available in three housing variants to cover as many installation scenarios as possible. For example, the microphones can be attached to the outside of tower walls or measuring masts using a magnet or metal band. Using Roxtec mounting seals, they can also be installed watertight in small holes in the tower wall.
To protect against lightning strikes and surges, lightning protection solutions are available for the microphones in accordance with the lightning protection zone concept.
